About Eurosonic Communications

Europasonic (UK) Ltd. was established in 1981 in the thriving wholesale area of Bury New Road, just outside Manchester City Centre, and has since gone on to become one of the largest importers and manufacturers of household electrical, telecommunications and audio/video accessories in the UK. The company was set up as a family firm, and still retains that status as of today, although it has now been passed onto the next generation of the Kohli family.

Trading under the name Eurosonic Communications, we quickly established ourselves as a major supplier to the UK’s multiple retail sector, with a strong commitment towards providing quality products and an efficient service. In 1993, we made the step into manufacturing in order to gain further control on product cost, quality and supply. Universal Electronics & Communications Ltd. (India), our manufacturing subsidiary, is an ISO 9002 approved company, producing safety-critical electrical accessories solely for the UK market.

In 1998, we took on the UK distributorship for an exclusive, high quality range of Mitsubishi-branded products, including batteries, audio/video cassettes, CD-R’s, bulbs and torches. The successful sale of these goods in the market has helped to double Eurosonic’s turnover in just over three years, and we have plans to work closely with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation to further increase this range in the near future.

Eurosonic Communications has enjoyed rapid, substantial growth in recent years, moving into a new, purpose-built 30,000 sq. ft distribution centre in 1999, and taking distribution efficiency and levels of customer service to even greater heights. By gradually expanding our customer base, we have increased our market share in the vast Household Electrical and DIY market significantly.

We were very pleased to have recently been successful in achieving the quality standards necessary to attain accreditation to ISO 9001, further highlighting our commitment and drive towards quality. Over the years we have gained a well-deserved reputation for our ability to respond quickly to the market’s changing trends, and our flexibility in tailoring our products and packaging to suit our customers’ individual requirements. The new millennium should see Europasonic (UK) Ltd. branching out into new, global markets, aiming to achieve a presence in Europe, Canada and North America.
